Associate Analyst
Role and Scope of Position:
The Associate Regulatory Planning Analyst participates in the development and implementation of regulatory policy related to state and/or federal regulatory proceedings in jurisdictions where the Companies operate. Actively involved in the formation, support, and implementation of regulatory initiatives.
Essential Functions:
• Coordinates various regulatory filings in multiple state and/or federal jurisdictions
• Coordinates pre-file testimony
• Monitors regulatory activities of other utilities
• Coordinates administrative matters
• Maintains knowledge of industry trends and industry-related legislation pertinent to the business area
• Fosters a productive, engaging and inclusive work environment in which open communication is encouraged and obstacles to open communication are addressed quickly.
• Works safely
• Keeps Manager informed of issues, impediments and progress
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
• Ability to understand complex information, problem-solving skills, business acumen, analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated skills with MS Office
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related preferred.
Experience:
• Zero to three years of experience
Analyst
Role and Scope of Position:
This position is responsible for facilitating client to meet their regulatory obligations as established by law and by Public Utility and Regulatory Authority, Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, and Siting Council decisions and orders.
Essential Functions:
• Monitors and coordinates client's participation in active regulatory proceedings.
• Ensures appropriate individuals within client are aware of compliance obligations.
• Ensures filings are appropriately reviewed, receive necessary approvals, and are made in a timely fashion.
• Assists filing technicians, and on occasion make filings.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
• Proficient in use of the TRACs (Lotus Notes) and Caseworks (SharePoint) systems.
• Ability to summarize in writing both the written and the spoken word quickly and accurately
• Advanced organizational and time management skills are also essential since each Analyst is required to manage several proceedings, each with their own schedule
• Effective interpersonal skills are necessary since the job requires interaction with a myriad of individuals within the Companies (e.g., legal, regulatory affairs, business owners) as well as with state regulatory agencies
• Regulatory Analysts work closely, often sharing docket responsibilities as necessary to be responsive to regulatory and business deadlines
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years related experience
• Prior regulatory or utility experience preferred

• None
