Systems Engineer - Aerospace

The systems engineer will help lead the engineering process and execution for the development of advanced unmanned systems. This involves the guidance of multi-disciplinary engineering teams to meet program functional, performance, quality, risk, safety, cost, and schedule goals. The ideal candidate will have broad domain knowledge in aerospace development along the entire product lifecycle, preferably in unmanned systems.

This position is located in Manassas, VA. Candidate must be in a commutable distance or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

Lead multi-disciplinary engineering execution along product development lifecycle including:

• Requirements Capture, Flowdown, and Maintenance
• Technical performance trade studies
• Technical review contributions
• Change management process
• Configuration management process
• Risk and Opportunity management
• Interface definition and control
• Safety & reliability analysis support
• Integration & test support
• Verification & validation/Measures of Performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science, Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or related fields in aerospace systems
• Multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge in the aerospace domain, preferably in unmanned systems
• Preferred to have practical hands-on experience in design, integration, and test
