POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Manager- Midlife Overhaul Program will be the key onsite NFI Parts Representative responsible for ensuring the overall success of the program including full oversight of material management, relationship management with the Prime Contractor and the End Customer, and detailed reporting on the program status and any issues that may arise.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Overall responsibility for, and full oversight of the Midlife Overhaul Program including material planning, ordering, receiving, warehousing, kitting, core returns, and shipping processes for parts supplied by NFI Parts.
- Status reporting on stocking levels of individual parts and kits including the tracking and recording of kit numbers and serial numbers along with which vehicles kits and parts were installed on.
- Establishment and oversight of contract management process and performance metrics for subcontractors and DBE's.
- Development of templates and KPI's to provide weekly status reports on vehicles currently in the Midlife Overhaul Program.
- Development and oversight of scope of work documents and work instructions for parts being sent off site for overhaul or refurbishment.
- Maintain and update the Midlife Overhaul Program master schedule providing detailed content, formatting, status reporting, and revisions, as required.
- Track, root cause and resolve any acceptance issues identified by the Prime Contractor or the End Customer.
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with the NFI Parts staff, suppliers, the Prime Contractor and the End Customer, as required.
- Coach and support of the Program Administrator- Midlife Overhaul Program.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Post Secondary education in Business or Engineering considered an asset or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated complex project management experience.
- Experience in oversight and maintenance of government contracts.
- Working knowledge of transit vehicles and related systems.
- Supply Chain knowledge and experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage a demanding workload.
- Energetic, confident, customer service oriented personality with strong customer facing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated self starter with capabilities to work independently within a fast paced, team oriented environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Microsoft Teams.
- Innovator with strategic thinking focus.
- Ability to travel up to 15% with this position.
