Job DescriptionThe Welder is responsible for operating a multitude of welding equipment working primarily on aluminum, steel and galvanneal requiring a high grade of skill. Job DutiesRead blueprints and weld metals according to customer or employer requirementsOperation of heavy equipment such as sawsPerform set up of machine and preventative maintenance as requiredExamine created welds to check for defects/flawsAbility to learn and perform different methods of welding to obtain certificationsPerform safety and quality checksWork and adhere to all safety policiesMinimum QualificationsBasic math, tape measurement and computer skillsBasic experience with hand toolsAble to understand and comprehend measurementAble to read and interpret blueprints for special applicationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent GEDMust be 18 years oldPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in manufacturingPrevious experience working on truck bodiesPhysical Requirements:This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear.
