Tech Lead with Security Clearance

What you will be doing The program focuses on the Operations, Maintenance and Evolution of a mission-critical data storage and analysis platform that centralizes how analysts receive, manage, and analyze data, enabling them to produce high-quality analysis products. The system involves multiple technologies centered on multiple delivery platforms; high volume, high velocity data processing pipelines; document management systems; and analyst tools. The candidate will have the opportunity to direct the cloud oriented evolution of the system to include modern functionality and scalability. Technical lead duties include serving as the technical lead for the O&M team following Agile and DevOps principles and directing the architecture and evolution of the next generation cloud based system evolution. Existing technologies consist of Windows and Linux servers, Oracle databases, and thin-clients in Citrix virtual environments. Evolution technologies are serverless architectures using Amazon Web services. Duties may include but not limited to: The Tech Lead consults with his Program Manager and customers to define user and system requirements; Translates user requirements into an application and/or system/database design; Writes automation tools to integrate with companion systems and applications; Writes code (Java, C++, Python, Linux, Windows); Ensures interoperability with other applications via system integration and system administration; Provides extensive technical advice, direction and guidance to other members of the team; Generates comprehensive test plans to ensure that adequate unit, system, and integration testing is performed; Oversees unit/functional testing and transitioning of the system components to production; and Generates comprehensive test plans to ensure that adequate unit, system, and integration testing is performed. Directs team members and continually works to optimize resources to meet Sponsor priorities. Supports Program Manager on internal meetings (e.g. staff meetings, schedule reviews, status meetings), external stakeholder meetings, and working groups. Communicates regularly with Program Manager and Sponsor Leadership to deliver an integrated view into project status, schedule, and performance. What you will need Minimum of 6 years demonstrated on-the-job experience with full life-cycle application software or systems development Demonstrated on-the-job experience with integrating functionality from disparate systems via scripting/tooling/automation Demonstrated on-the-job experience with hands on involvement in all aspects of the software development life-cycle (from requirements analysis through design, programming, testing, and deployment) Demonstrated on-the-job experience working with legacy system/application conversion (redeployment to alternative platforms) and technology assessment Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Object-Oriented analysis, design and development using any relational database technologies Demonstrated on-the-job experience with version control systems (like Subversion or Git) and software build automation (like Jenkins) Demonstrated on-the-job experience with the product life cycle to include the maintenance of production systems and providing customer support Demonstrated on-the-job experience with the Sponsor's system security environment and requirements Demonstrated experience leading a development and/or system integration team Desired Skills: Demonstrated on-the-job experience exhibiting customer service skills Demonstrated on-the-job experience working in a team environment exhibiting problem solving skills Demonstrated on-the-job experience with DevOps and automation tools for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Demonstrated on-the-job experience with the Sponsor's IDAM platform Demonstrated on-the-job experience with the Sponsor or Sponsor-s partners and their current technology issues Demonstrated on-the-job experience exhibiting written skills to include technical documentation regarding Windows and Linux Demonstrated experience deploying applications to a cloud infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS) Clearance TS/SCI with appropriate Poly clearance. **COVID-19 Vaccination: Praxis does not have a vaccination mandate applicable to all employees.
