Shopify Developer

Overview
Eventige Media Group is currently hiring a Shopify Developer with experience working on frontend and backend development. This includes scoping new projects, coordinating with account management and development teams, and ensuring that our Shopify Development cycles are quick, efficient, and solve for our clients’ needs.

In this role you would support our clients and their brands with frontend development (Liquid / HTML5 / Handlebars / CSS / Etc.) and also work on custom development using the API and building modules that are outside of the native capability of the platform. Ability to develop quickly with an extreme attention to detail is highly important. We are looking for talent with experience and a track-record of performance on Shopify specifically. Experience with WordPress, Magento, BigCommerce, and other eCommerce platforms will be a big plus.

Hiring Locations: NY, NJ, PA, and CT
We are looking for candidates that are remote, but can commute into the office from time to time, and reside within 1 or 1.5 hours (max) from our Times Square, NYC location. The locations we are hiring in are listed below.

- eCommerce Project Scoping & Estimation on Labor Hours
- Frontend Development of Pixel-Perfect Figma / Adobe XD Themes
- Consulting & Support For Shopify Merchants on Development Requirements
- Integrating Marketing Systems, Applications, as well as Consulting

Required Skills
- eCommerce Development Experience (WooCommerce / Shopify / Etc.)
- Must possess a thorough understanding of interactive development cycles
- Full-Stack Experience (Liquid, Python, PHP, HTML5, CSS, SASS, JavaScript)
- Templating, Themes, Plugins, CMS Development, RESTful API Development
- Responsive CMS Full-Stack Development – Desktop, Tablet, Mobile
- HTML Email Development & Customization For Marketing Teams
- Loading Speed Optimization / Code Compression / Lighthouse
- CRO / UX / UI Development, Bootstrap, CSS Frameworks

Education
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Computer Science
5+ Years of Development Experience at Agency or Brand

Remote Structure
Candidates applying must feel very comfortable with a remote structure, have a quiet working home office environment throughout the entire working day, and be very comfortable working independently, as well as in team groups.
