Store Manager - Full Time - Seasonal - Woodfield Mall
Job Description
$600 SIGN ON BONUS offered to eligible participants hired while the program is in effect, paid in three installments over three pay periods.
$1,000 END OF SEASON SALES BONUS offered to those hired by November 1, 2022 and in good standing.
$1,500 STORE CLOSURE BONUS offered to employees that stay to the end of season and assist it packing up the store.
Bonuses are subject to all applicable taxes. All other rules governing this program will apply. Employees who resign or are terminated prior to pay out dates will forfeit their Bonus.

Job Summary
This role is a temporary position from August 15, 2022 to January 6, 2023 with a chance of being permanent. The Store Manager is responsible, both personally and through the management of our Assistant Manager and Beauty Advisor, for driving sales results, recruiting and building talent and managing operational excellence and developing brand loyalty in order to deliver natural based products and the Provencal experience that will provide tremendous growth in sales and a high profit margin. Store Managers exhibit our key values of authenticity and respect and will lead the store with pride, passion and confidence
Responsibilities and Duties
- Drive Sales Results for SFO
- Meet or exceed daily, monthly and annual Key Performance Indicators by analyzing key business metrics, developing action plans, communicating ways to drive the business and managing performance of sales associates
- Create associate schedules to ensure labor costs are managed strategically
- Create and nurture a sense of accountability and entrepreneurial spirit within all associates to drive increased business
- Recruit and Build Talent
- Source, hire, develop and retain Best in Class Assistant Managers and Beauty Advisors
- Consistently seek talent and network to create a pool of qualified candidates
- Act as inspiration for The Way to PROSPERITY for L’OCCITANE employees; demonstrate and role model principles and behaviors and create a great place to work every day
- Provide consistent positive and constructive feedback to deliver on brand service expectations
- Ensure training and development of the team
- Cultivate an environment where associates respect and adhere to Company standards of integrity and ethics
- Manage Operational Excellence
- Maintain, train and coach L'OCCITANE visual and merchandising standards
- Maintain consistent communication among store team
- Manage all areas related to stock (backroom organization, replenishment, and inventory control)
- Ensure standard operating procedures are executed, including testers, damages and other compliance related items
- Ensure store is neat, clean, and pristine at all times, and all housekeeping and maintenance of total store is executed daily
- Communicate all relevant business information to the team in a timely manner
- Manage and approve weekly payroll
- Interact transparently with District Managers and associates
- Build Brand Loyalty
- Maintain strong product knowledge of the entire L’OCCITANE product line
- Model and teach others to create a positive and impactful customer experience

Qualifications and Skills
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalency preferred
EXPERIENCE
- 4+ years’ work experience in retail sales with background in Luxury Boutique management a plus
- Experience with creation and implementation of sales and business strategy
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required
- Intermediate math skills
- Computer literacy including MS Office and POS software a plus
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
SKILLS
- Proven ability to motivate a sales force and drive results through people
- Must possess a positive, professional and energetic attitude, a passion for customer service, selling, operational excellence and talent management
- Language Skills a plus: Spanish, Mandarin and Portuguese
PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional travel
- Must be able to stand and walk for length of shift
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
