Strategic Programs and Critical Infrastructure Division (SPCID) provides organizations within the Department of Defense with timely and objective assessments and recommendations that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis. We focus on key clients in the Strategic Deterrence community including U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), and the Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) for the COLUMBIA Class SSBNs. We work to provide integrated solutions based on information and communications throughout the chain of command to ensure clear and consistent analysis and recommendations that are aligned to strategic and leadership goals while still being executable by the working level technical communities. SPA/SPCID has an immediate need for a Technical Program Analyst. #CJ #IN123 Responsibilities The Technical Program Analyst will provide support primarily to the Navy's Strategic Systems Programs' Ship Integration Branch, other government organizations and prime contractors, as well as strategic partners in the United Kingdom. The analyst will participate in and provide programmatic and technical support to a U.S. Navy weapon system program office charged with planning, assessment, management, and decision-making for all stages of weapon system life cycle support including system design and development; resource scheduling and requirements planning and analysis; program documentation development; and other aspects of program coordination and execution. Responsibilities also include executive level meeting facilitation and briefing preparations. A "day in the life" for this position will vary greatly but generally includes preparing customer products for SPA leadership review, coordinating with multiple customers via phone/e-mail, occasional local trips to customer locations, and periodic trips out of the DC area to locations like Kings Bay, GA, Bangor WA, and New London, CT to support customer meetings and review shipyard production and manufacturing progress. It is expected that the amount of independence in this position will quickly grow as the employee becomes acclimated to our customer and product set. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Bachelors degree (B.S. or B.A.) * 2+ years of experience in an engineering, acquisition, or development effort, or 2+ years of military service. * Capable of working independently as well as with a team on larger projects. * Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with MS Office applications. * Current DoD TOP SECRET clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret while employed with SPA. Desired Qualifications: * Experience with Department of Defense weapon system acquisition, program planning, strategic planning, or risk assessment/tracking. * Previous Experience with any of the following: Submarines, the Trident II (D5) Strategic Weapons System, nuclear power, the National Nuclear Security Administration or other nuclear weapons programs. * Current DoD SECRET or TOP SECRET clearance.
