job summary:

Tatum is recruiting for an experienced Director of Finance to join a nationwide Hospitality Company who will oversee General Ledger accounting operations. This is a contract position to start, however for the right candidate, this could be your next long-term home!

responsibilities:

• Manage the daily activities of the GL accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time
• Manage and assist in the preparation of various financial statements and reports
• Manage Internal and External Audit requests
• Review and sign off on monthly reconciliations as well as review and post journal entries
• Evaluate, develop, and improve property controls, systems, and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency
• Assist in monthly/yearly budgeting, interim forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, etc.
• Prepare financial analyses, financial reports and statistics, including creating reports for management, stakeholders and external parties

qualifications:

• 7 years experience in accounting with at least 3 years of accounting management experience within the Hospitality and/or Gaming industries required
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's Degree preferred
• Excellent Excel skills needed (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
