Senior Director Performance Strategy

OneSpaWorld is a worldwide provider and innovator in the fields of wellness, beauty, rejuvenation, and transformation at sea on cruise ships and on land at resorts. The company is dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards and service delivery and is continually evolving to include all aspects of health and beauty while focusing on new advances within the wellness industry.

The Senior Director is responsible for the ideation through consistent implementation of initiatives that drive demand and improve profitability of the Maritime business. The role requires a creative mindset with strong communication and planning skills and attention-to-detail. The position requires collaborative leadership across the OneSpaWorld organization, our Cruise Line partners, and Retail brands. The role has four direct reports.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborative Planning and Execution. Serves as the leader for all revenue-focused transformational initiatives and deliverables both pre-cruise and onboard. Works with the Operations, Business Intelligence, and Supply Chain teams to implement initiatives, gathering feedback on opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Product Launches. Collaborates across the organization to ideate and bring new products to market.
  • Itinerary Planning. Designs optimal marketing and sales plans for geographies, nationalities, and cruise lengths.
  • Promotions. Develops campaigns that drive demand into the spa.
  • Brand Partnerships. Identifies new brands that will augment or improve OSWs profitability.
  • Yield Management. Oversees the optimization of price and inventory both pre-cruise and onboard.
  • Project Management. Aligns the organization for consistent delivery of new initiatives for optimal outcomes. Manages the integrated activities across departments, ensuring visibility of timing and expectations.
  • Revenue Performance. Tracks and reports against the financial progress of all new initiatives.
  • Guest Experiences. Considers market trends and guest requirements in the development of all new initiatives.
  • Profitability. Ensures all new initiatives achieve both revenue and cost objectives, making changes as needed.
  • Process Improvement. Evaluates current business processes and takes feedback for improvement opportunities.
  • Employee Engagement. Ensures team members are involved and aware of key projects and initiatives. Empowers the team to ideate and collaborate with team members. Develops team talent.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Business experience
  • Revenue management experience a plus
  • Business strategy experience a plus
  • Corporate planning experience a plus
  • Spa, Wellness, Fitness, Cruise, Travel, or Hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Bachelors degree in business or related topic
  • Proven experience in working collaboratively with a global team of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven experience in providing verbal and written communications from executives to front-line staff
  • Proven capability for managing a wide range of projects, delivering on-time, accurately, and on-budget

  • Strong relationship building and communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally
  • Ability to create short and long term plans that align across multiple business functions and partners

  • Proven experience of creating and presenting OSW capabilities across all channels
  • MS Excel, Word, and Powerpoint to intermediate or advanced level.
