An investment advisory firm located in New York City is actively seeking an experienced and hardworking professional to join their staff as their new Vice President of FP&A. In this role, the Vice President of FP&A will provide strategic thought leadership and analysis to identify meaningful trends and opportunities across the business.

- Build, analyze, and communicate results of strategic initiatives and articulate the impact to the overall business based on performance
- Take strategic view of the business to identify opportunities for growth optimization
- Provide strong ad hoc financial and business decision support on numerous revenue and strategic initiatives, return on investment analyses, and/or other projects
- Work internally and with business unit and corporate controllers to understand inputs from each business that drive their budgeting/forecasting process
- Construct and track evolving Balanced Scorecard KPIs
- Assist in the review of Management Committee deliverables by providing insights in P&L forecasts, monthly financial results, and multiple strategic initiatives
- Engage with key executives across divisions and functions, business leaders, and their teams to provide informed insights to the Management team
- Work with business leaders as an internal consultant to develop investment cases for strategic organic investments
- Identify cross-divisional value creation opportunities and linkages
- Partner with Investor Relations to leverage competitive intelligence analytics
- Bachelor's degree in any related field across Finance, Equity Research, Applied Analytics, or other relatable field of study
- 6-8 years of combined experience in financial services in an investment banking, FP&A, applied analytics, corporate strategy, or business intelligence capacity
- Proficiency in financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, and data visualization
- Keen understanding of the key drivers of business performance and associated KPIs
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision
- Aptitude for understanding data and learning new technology
- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
- Experience independently identifying and driving process improvements
- Strategic leader with ownership mentality and is comfortable navigating ambiguity in an continuously evolving organization
- Experience presenting in executive-level management meetings
- Master's degree
- CFA, MBA, CPA, and / or other relevant professional qualifications
- Experience with programming languages: Python, R, SQL, VBA
- Knowledgeable in Business Intelligence tools: PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, UiPath, Visio, Anaplan, SharePoint, and Workiva
