Sorting Recyclables

General Labor Responsibilities:
The Sorter is responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting
materials on the conveyor line by performing the following duties

Sort items or materials according to type, size, condition, coloring or
paper grade
Pull contaminants off conveyor belt
Keep surrounding work area clean
Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guidelines for
operating and maintaining a safe environment.
Report any worker-public safety factors
Wear PPE at all times. (Hard hat, gloves, arm guards, and steel toed shoes,
safety glasses)
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required to use motor coordination
Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 20 pounds
Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns,
etc) rarely; Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves
dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements

Experience: Entry Level
$17.00
