Merchandiser
Job Description
The Merchandiser is a key member of the Merchandising & Product team that will work with many cross functional partners to ensure our assortments are trend right for all guests! The ideal candidate has a passion for products & following trends, is detail oriented, & loves working with a FUN collaborative team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute merchandise strategy for product including product assortment, pricing, lifecycle and buys
- Watch and analyze sales and market trends and react accordingly
- Plan and manage omni-channel assortments for a key segment of the business as well as multiple holidays
- Monitor and analyze all products to forecast and buy inventory needed to efficiently drive the business
- Create strong working relationships with cross-functional team members; answer questions about their segment of the business
- Own merchandise assortment for key segment of the business including all product information and direction; communicate the information efficiently and effectively to partners
- Drive new product concepts based on consumer insights, market research, and consumer demand
- Present product and detailed buy plans to the Leadership Team; contribute meaningful information in meetings and answer questions and/or follow up on questions asked
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 2-4 years of previous buying/merchandising experience and/or related merchandising experience required, 5-7 years preferred
- Must be able to lift >15 lbs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical reasoning abilities and data analysis skills with the ability to review historical and current sales and market trends and react accordingly
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and communicate clearly; strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-disciplined
- Time management skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently work on and prioritize multiple projects
- Ease with numbers
- Flexible and adaptable to change
