Retail Sales Associate
Please apply at {apply below} Qualifications • Education: High School or Equivalent • Years of Experience: 1-3 of relevant job experience • Proficient in the use of technology (iPad, registers) • Proficient in the use of social media, Facebook and Instagram • Meets defined availability criteria, including evenings and Saturdays • Meets physical requirements - ability to lift boxes approximately up to 25 -35 pounds Responsibilities • The Business Development/Sales Associate (BDS Associate) is responsible for providing a great in-store shopping experience for customers • The BDS Associate assists with additional tasks including, but not limited to, stocking, cleaning, folding merchandise, and assisting with inventory • Additionally, the BDS sales associate is responsible for assisting with the initiation and maintenance of professional relationships with schools, dance companies, and exercise facilities to ensure partnerships and collaborations on behalf of Ms • Professional and Flawless Execution • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room to ensure the store is safe and inviting to customers • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all our associates and customers • Assist with product launches and/or store sales • Assist with emailing database to notify of special sales, offers, and store updates • Assist with the maintenance of inventory check-in, stocking, and display • Ro’s Dance Closet online brand including social media • Deliver on all aspects of the customer experience model • Process transactions quickly and accurately reducing the customer's wait time • Positively resolve customer service-related issues as they arise and determine resolution or escalate further by communicating all issues and resolutions to Store Management • Drive credit and loyalty member programs by explaining benefits and encouraging customers to participate • Other essential functions may occur as directed by your supervisor Ms. Ro’s Dance Closet is a dancewear boutique located at 3761 Main Street in the Historic College Park District. Essential Qualifications • Education: High School or Equivalent • Years of Experience: 1-3 of relevant job experience • Proficient in the use of technology (iPad, registers) • Proficient in the use of social media, Facebook and Instagram • Meets defined availability criteria, including evenings and Saturdays • Meets physical requirements - ability to lift boxes approximately up to 25 -35 pounds Preferred Qualifications (skills and abilities) • Previous retail experience is preferred but not required • Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner • Strong verbal and written communication skills specifically with customers, and other sales associates • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a small team
