Business Affairs Paralegal - AWAL needed to support a growing business affairs department in the Los Angeles office of AWAL

  • 3 month assignment with the possibility of extension
  • Pay $35-$39/hr. DOE
  • 23-37.5 hours/week
  • ONSITE
  • Must provide proof of vaccination
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, proofread and/or redline legal documents including proposals, agreements, internal summaries, and external correspondence
  • Manage contract signing process and post-signing tasks
  • Maintain and update digital records and metadata (including via data entry)
  • Review and update information in existing database in order to monitor critical deal terms, dates, and deadlines
  • Liaise with artists' managers, attorneys, SVP of BA, and various internal teams

Qualifications:

  • BA degree and/or equivalent professional experience
  • Expert proficiency in MS Office and Google applications including Word, Excel, Google Docs, and Google Sheets
  • Minimum (2) years of professional experience at an entertainment company or law firm
  • Minimum (3) year of professional experience drafting, proofreading, analyzing and/or summarizing agreements and other legal documents
  • Must be well-organized, self-sufficient, and detail-oriented
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred (but not essential if applicant has good data management experience)
  • Ability to prioritize (and re-prioritize) multiple tasks
  • Certification not required
  • Primary tasks may include
