Warehouse Worker

Jacobson is seeking a full-time warehouse associate to assist in the unloading of containers, organization of the warehouse, and picking and packing of orders. This position will work directly with the Warehouse Manager and Senior Warehouse Associate to ensure efficient execution of daily processes.

Jacobson is the largest supplier of floral hard goods in New England. We are a wholesale importer and distributor who specializes in silk flowers, vases, containers, votives, ribbon, and floral supplies. Jacobson is a third generation family owned company in Boston's South End with a warehouse in Braintree. We offer free parking at all locations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Unload containers and received shipments several times per day.
• Navigate the warehouse quickly and efficiently to stock and pick product.
• Pack product neatly and safely for shipping.
• Generate billings and invoices.
• Communicate stock quantities to the Warehouse Manager.
• Maintain organization of warehouse product.
• Work directly with the Warehouse Manager and Senior Warehouse Associate to collaborate on process improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be able to lift 60 pounds and load and unload containers repeatedly.
• Good math skills (addition and multiplication).
• Able to be on your feet for the entire shift.
• Comfortable working in cold and hot conditions.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to learn electric material handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jack.
• Efficient and timely while maintaining a sense of urgency under pressure.
• Excellent spatial awareness and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must take direction well and be a fast learner.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Hours are 6:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday with some Saturdays as required. We do a 9 hour shift with an hour unpaid lunch. Start times range from 6:00am-9:00am. Must have the flexibility to work 9:00-6:00 shift.
