Interpreter / Vietnamese

As an independent contractor for our agency, you can accept or decline assignments based on your availability. We are seeking freelance interpreters to travel to our clients within a 30-mile radius of their location and provide face-face interpretation services.

Qualifications:

• Provide assistance to limited English proficient (LEP) patients to ensure they can effectively communicate with their medical providers.
• Travel to and from assignment locations to perform Interpretation services
• Demonstrate understanding of cultural competence and customer service skills
• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA policies and standards
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate when dealing with difficult people and crisis situations
• Flexible availability

Requirements:

• Working fluency in Vietnamese and English languages (pass an oral proficiency test)
• U.S work authorization
• Able to undergo a background check and drug test
• Willing to submit immunization records including the COVID-19 Vaccine
• Successful completion of a minimum of 40 Hours of Medical Interpreter Training or 40 Hour of Community Interpreter Training, or willingness to complete it
• Must be 18 years of age or older

*Compensation based on experience, starting at $25/hr.
