WMS Programmer Analyst

Compensation: $100000.00 to $145000.00 yearly

The WMS Programmer Analyst will analyze, design, develop, and maintain enterprise software applications related to warehouse operations. The position requires teamwork and a natural talent for working with users and management across the entire organization.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with other business users, operations management, external vendors and internal I.T. team to solve new and existing business technical issues.
  • Understand requirements, create designs, write program code, modify database schemas, perform unit testing, and provide documentation for IT projects.
  • Interface with business leaders in the early development of specifications and requirements.
  • Follow and enhance the existing development processes.
  • Measure and verify that new and old code has acceptable performance and scalability.
  • Maintain ownership of the projects assigned.
  • Consistently meet project deadlines.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent work experience

Experience:

  • 5+ years programming with MSSQL
  • Proficiency creating and modifying stored procedures.
  • Prior experience with WMS systems required.
  • Prior experience with HighJump preferred.
  • Familiarity with warehousing concepts including but not limited to waving, picking, packing, allocation, replenishment, cartonization and carrier routing.
  • Prior experience with Traffic Management Systems (TMS) and manifesting preferred.
  • Prior experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Experience integrating WMS with Critical Production systems and ERP systems

• Ability to understand business concepts and processes and to identify areas for improvement.


• Ability to grasp broad, loosely developed concepts while maintaining exceptional attention to detail


• Practical knowledge of software development lifecycle processes


• Exceptional knowledge of unit and integration testing
