3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic

Labor Now is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for a food production facility on the 3rd shift in Irvine, CA and we're looking for you!

This is a direct hire opportunity!

The position in on the 3rd shift from 10pm to 6:30am. Salary ranges between $75-85k/year depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• This position will ensure that all machinery and mechanical equipment are operating during production to achieve company goals
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on refrigeration equipment, HVAC, towers, air compressor, motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments utilizing root cause analysis tools
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Performs basic housekeeping tasks

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience working with machines in frozen food manufacturing
• 2+ years of experience working with air compressors, motors, pneumatic systems, conveyors and production machines
• Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment of 30ºF to 45ºF up to 12 hours
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Proficient in HVAC, Refrigeration Equipment, and Air Compressor diagnosis and repair
• Previous experience working in a food production facility a plus
• Follows all GMP, PPE & Safety Guidelines & handbook
• Able to work flexible schedule
• Able to comply with SQF Regulatory Programs
• Team player-able to work on a team environment
• Knowledge of HACCP & Sanitation guidelines & processes
