• Join a growing team of Board Certified Anesthesiologists and three CRNAs in a respected and proven program
• Call rotation will include some periods of first call with early-out following the day on call
• Optimal OR block scheduling with few add-ons in four rooms and endoscopy; dedicated C-section room; extra fifth room for quick turn-around times
• Cases include general surgery, orthopedic surgery, ENT, OB, Gyn and urology; no open hearts or neuro

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.

Able to successfully correlate anesthetic practice in a synchronized manner with the surgical team, surgeon and other disciplines in the operating room suite to assure anesthesia coverage at the appropriate times.

2.

Holds self and other staff members accountable and responsible for work performance and continuous improvement of the care of the surgical patient requiring anesthesia.

3.

Ensures self-compliance with professional, regulatory and government standards of care.

4.

Demonstrates the knowledge of needs and tasks for his/her specific anesthesia assignments in the delivery of anesthetics to patients.

5.

Able to satisfactorily complete the documentation of surgical care to patients on every surgical procedure that requires anesthesia.

Education

• RN graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
• Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Licensure/Certification

• Must have valid, current license as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) recommended
