Vice President of Campgrounds
Overview
One of America's largest retailers/membership providers is looking to fill a VP of Campgrounds position to assist in the transformation of the company's Campgrounds Solution business and provide a robust product offering to the network of affiliated and partner parks. The VP of Campgrounds position will work with cross-functional teams in marketing, digital products & technology, and other business units to build custom and innovative programs that allow campground operators to be competitive and strengthen their position in the transforming marketplace. The individual will step into and manage current relationships and strategies, with tasks to build a robust pipeline of new relationships and help current strategies evolve. This Senior position in will require an entrepreneurial mindset and leadership skills to help grow an established team and effectively manage change.
The Head of Campgrounds will be directly responsible for growing the 2,000 + campground affiliate and partner base through providing products & services that the company's sales organization can execute upon. The role will act as the company's expert in the campground space and help build the necessary foundation for the company's growth within the specific niche. Experience in providing franchise-like support to a broad base of independently owned operators will be integral in developing future strategy. The Head of Campgrounds will report directly to the Senior Vice President.

Responsibilities & Focus
Create, Manage, and Lead the company's Campground Solutions strategy
- Identify potential segments of business that will drive the company's growth and profitability and support campground operators
- Build short- and long-term roadmaps to reaching key objectives and communicate progress to key executives within the enterprise
- Work alongside analytics and finance teams to build operation models based on cases reflecting future revenue-generating opportunities that drive market competitiveness
- Collaborate with key leaders across the enterprise to leverage the company's resources to deliver unique services to campground operators
- Develop quarterly business expansion opportunity presentations to continue to challenge the status quo and deliver internal assessments on market competitiveness
Build a state-of-the-art Campground Account Management program
- Manage a team of relationship-management professionals that ensure the maximum utilization of the company's products and services for campground operators
- Build a coordinated strategy between an account management team, sales team, and account executive technology team to push collaboration and a simple sales process
- Identify and deliver on account management KPIs related to goals set forth for the team and communicate the delivery of those KPIs to executive leadership
- Identify short and long-term organizational structures that are built for growth
Develop a digital transformation offering to assist Campground Operators in organic growth
- Understand and develop digital products and services that empower operators of any size to transform their businesses into digital-first organizations
- Balance products and services that support campground operators of varying digital maturity and size, building services for the smaller campgrounds while developing a robust suite of products for the larger and more digitally-focused campground/resort
- Be the primary business stakeholder and sponsor for key products that support the Campground Solutions organization, such as the reservation system and website builder
- Deliver key KPIs and statistics to build a better understanding around the need to transform digitally and how the company can assist in that transformation
Create the company's Annual Campground Report
- Leverage internal data and insights to deliver a comprehensive campground report published to the company's Campgrounds to assist in their understanding of the market and how to remain competitive
- Deliver an annual digital report to operators that creates an assessment of their individual campground to their market, region, state, and/or nation
Manage the company's Campground Solutions business
- Primary driver of contract negotiations with potential clients working alongside internal legal counsel to ensure aligned contract strategy and cross-functional business operators
- Manage and be responsible for the Campgrounds P&L
Education & Experience
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business Development, Campgrounds, Franchise businesses, or related field. MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of related field experience desired.
- Extensive experience with client relationship management and B2B sales.
- Human capital management experience and proven record of growing team members, inclusive of remote-team management.
- Experience with franchise businesses a plus.
