Business Program Manager

Summary:

Enterprise Engineering Operations touches every employee in Facebook, providing a broad range of services and support intended to ensure/maximize employee productivity. The challenge is to deliver services more efficiently year over year simultaneously improving the support experience while scaling substantially slower than the supported user base. As a Business Program Manager, you will drive strategic initiatives, build efficiency where needed, and bring thought leadership, deep insights, and strategic thinking to the role while partnering successfully with leaders on the team. The ideal candidate has experience in driving simple solutions to highly complex, ambiguous problems in a cross-functional team. A data-driven self-starter who proactively identifies and solves problems while continuously seeking ways to improve and drive efficiencies into the organization. This individual thrives in and enjoys a fast-paced, cross-functional, and action-oriented environment and is passionate about mentoring, coaching, and developing others. The person in this role will be a strong program manager, synthesizer and problem solver, with the ability to shift seamlessly between strategic, project management and execution tasks. You will appreciate efficiency, collaborative working relationships and know how to prioritize with ease and respond to challenges with grace and timeliness. You will build strong relationships with operational partners and stakeholders.

Business Program Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Drive strategic initiatives across Enterprise Operations and ensure progress on priority workstreams, building decision-making frameworks and deliverables both within and across organizations

  2. Responsible for executive synthesis & consistent communications upwards on our business performance, operational excellence, and other operational metrics. Develop domain expertise across operational issues, informed by trends in business and technology including knowledge of current/potential Meta business models and MSP needs

  3. Be the go-to person who connects cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, efficiency, and collaboration

  4. Manage message development for internal and external engagements and scale communications across the organization

  5. Solve ambiguous problems with analytical skills using data and providing practical business insight

  6. Lead operational reviews to drive decision-making and assess progress against goals and priorities

  7. Drive operational excellence into the organization through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or improve processes

  8. Program manage internal operations and complex work streams including high profile escalations

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Experience leading strategy, operations and process improvement projects in consulting and/or in a relevant strategy/operations team

  2. Proven problem solving and analytical skills, with a proven track record of driving projects from strategy to execution

  3. 5+ years experience with program management, business operations, strategy, management consulting or equivalent

  4. Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills, with experience leading/influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization

  5. Proven communication skills
