Responsibilities
- Present quarterly financial reports to President
- Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
- Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations
- Comfortable in taking on tasks beyond formal job responsibilities
- Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
- Complete quarter-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis
- Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
- Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, AIA billings & collections, and payroll
- Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
- Prior experience working in a hands on role with a small accounting team
- Account and bank reconciliation experience
- Strong experience preparing and posting journal entries
- Demonstrated knowledge of Construction Accounting
- Adeptness in AIA Billing
- Command of year end closings
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
- Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required
- Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
- BA/BS or AS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field is preferred
- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
