Wells Fargo Enterprise Core Data Services delivers industry-leading horizontal Data as a service solutions across lines of businesses including client due diligence, cross sell/analytics, reference, common tools and services for data in all lines of business and for customers within Wells Fargo. The goal of our platforms is to provide high quality, standardized, innovative solutions to serve our core business needs in a consistent and efficient way.
The incumbent will work within Wells Fargo Platform and Application support team partnering with development teams, product owners, scrum masters, and with other technology centers of excellence. The production support engineer is responsible for engineering new solutions to improve platform and application stability, including ensuring all availability, architecture, quality, security, support and risk/compliance standards are met for applications in the Core services portfolio.
The Platform team has knowledge of the environments, software, function, performance, availability, capacity and data. We need a diverse group of people with different experience levels to support the transformation, enrichment and timely availability of data assets to business and technical application teams across the enterprise.

In this role, you will:
- Develop code with ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server
- Be the primary production support for application which are near real-time within the large data online applications.
- Support and maintain processes that aim to improve the availability, scalability, SLA, and efficiency of Core services platform and applications
- Troubleshoot and analyze complex production problems related to data, network file delivery, server and application issues independently and provide solutions to recovery.
- Drive and participate in postmortems to avoiding repeated incidents
- Solve problems related to the Core services systems and the buildout of automation to prevent problem recurrence; with the goal of automating response to all non-exceptional service conditions
- Influence and create new designs, software, architectures, standards and methods for large-scale distributed systems
- Collaborate with the business analysts and ETL development team members to resolve complex data design issues/provide optimal solutions that meet business requirements and benefits system performance
- Collaborate with channel teams which includes offshore team members, work flexible hours as required to achieve a global follow-the-sun support model
- Identify and implement operational best practices and process improvements within the following functional areas: Audit, Risk, Change, Event detection, Incident Management, Problem management, Vulnerability Management, Technical Refresh, Tools and Application Support
- Encourage and participate in knowledge sharing as necessary
- Develop and foster a positive relationship with team members, team leads and business partners
- Develop and updates documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides
- Implement best practices for production environments

- Engage in service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning
Required Qualifications, US:
- 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of information technology experience
- 4+ years of application production support experience
- 4+ years of data warehouse experience
- 4+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience
- 4+ years of relational database experience
- 3+ years of job scheduling experience
- 4+ years of MS SQL server experience
- A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology

- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities
- 2+ years of working experience of Wells Fargo wholesale applications like WCIS, CID/POQ
- 3+ years of team lead exposure with offshore and onshore resources
- 4+ years of experience in developing code with ASP.NET and C#
- 2+ years of exposure to Teradata or Oracle especially in ETL side
- Be willing to work non-standard business hours on an on-call basis in a 24x7x365 environment
